We are not the sin that we do

We are not worms, or even caterpillars…we are “new creations in Christ,” we are butterflies! We are not the sin that we do – we are our new hearts, given us freely by God, that long to please God and do right and receive His forgiveness. And we have received it, as a gift! All wrapped up in resurrection clothes, with Jesus’ lovely smile as the bow on top.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV

An Ode to Roses 🙂 : You served me well, oh beautiful ones, you served your purpose well. Dust to dust, ashes to ashes, roses to petals… a rose in any other form doth smell as sweet!

And as your petals slip away, enfolded and entwined as one, your drying form reveals at last, the core is beautiful and whole… still at its base the same, and yet, ready to move on to better shores!
